Kansas City Repertory Theatre
For over 50 years, the Kansas City Repertory Theatre has been a source of inspiration to thousands of the nation’s best artists and to missions of Americans in Kansas City and beyond. They were looking to enhance their web presence and improve a frustrating content management flow. They wanted a way to feature a wealth of image based content, improve accessibility, and align branding between their website and their third party ticketing/CRM provider.
Starting with a strong fundamental style guide, Venture designed a beautiful and modern result inspired by existing graphic assets. We streamlined their event creation and management process and found numerous points of contact to automate what were previously tedious and time consuming tasks. Their new site automates all of the event listing and calendar displays and their new ticketing template syncs their header and footer components so if they edit one at the primary website, it flows though automatically to the other.

Don’t Sacrifice Speed for Beauty
Great design is crucial, but it’s not the whole story. Many arts organizations choose agencies solely on design strength, neglecting the critical role of development. This often results in stunning websites that crawl on mobile or load painfully slow.
At Venture, we understand the unique needs of arts & culture clients. We deliver award-winning design coupled with lightning-fast performance. By the end of the project, KCRep went from an “F” to “A” performance grade!
