Austin Opera

The mission of the Austin Opera is to produce operatic performances and educational programs that meet and preserve the highest standards of artistic excellence that culturally enrich the lives of Texans. This commitment is comprised of four essential goals:

  • Creating operatic productions that attain the highest artist standards;
  • Conveying the operatic art form in ways that make it intellectually and financially accessible to the most diverse as possible audience;
  • Providing lifelong educational opportunities and programming to the community, regardless of skill, ethnicity, orientation or financial ability;
  • Ensuring the future of the organization through consistent and responsible resource management.

They are an excellent example of how easy it is to create and project a unique branded image by utilizing third party custom designed branding elements.

The organization implemented a major redesign for their 2017/18 season that included a great deal of expanded functionality. They decided to step up their game and use Venture’s Advanced Design and Layout Add-on and the results are fantastic.

Website Highlights

  • Old school homepage sliders have been replaced with big, beautiful hero images featuring CTAs to their most important conversion and content points of entry.
  • Big, bold typography scales elegantly from large high resolution desktops down to the smallest of Smartphone screens.
  • The redesigned mega menu incorporates production images for an added conversion boost.
  • The top menu also incorporates their logo and remains sticky no matter how far down a page a user scrolls.
  • Extra Smartphone friendly by using large, finger friendly contact points throughout the entire design.
  • Mobile menu bar features an integrated text search feature and a direct link to user accounts at their box office provider website.
  • On desktop and laptop devices, a sophisticated slide up social share bar spans the full width of the page footer. The share bar includes social share buttons for respective page content along with direct links to institutional social media profiles.
  • A dedicated series of pages for their Guild includes online membership application and a Guild-specific event listing.
